They wouldn't be able to get their people on US soil. The US, on the other hand, already has military bases in Asia and Europe.

No I dont think thats possible for China to INVADE AMERICA!

No that fact is that we have stuff that will blow their mind.
And we have nukes, now China would invade to take over our country, if we invaded them, we wouldnt want to conquer China, but rather establish a friendly govt.

Yeah, if China invaded theyd have a heck of a time doin it.
Plus why would you want to invade a proud nation whose citizens are armed with some of the same stuff the army has?!!

But that would turn into a nuclear war.
And we have a missile defense shield, they dont.

But first tensions wouldd have to sour, and we have bases right next to them in South Korea and China.

Next is before the war, we'd stop doing trade with them and move it else where. That would nearly cripple their economy.

Plus our allies India and the UK and Israel would help to stop the Communist expansion. So I dont think it would turn into a world war as the quick respone from those countries would just stop at least an invasion.

But the main thing is that Christianity is the fastest growing religion in China and the Chinese ideals would change if China would become a predominantly Christian nation.
The same thing in my opinion would a situation similar to Rome.

Go to: www.wikipedia.org

and search "Christianity in China"

To me the logistics and alliances and economics wouldnt permit China to invade America.

So NO!!!

The question is asked alot, but I dont thinnk its possible.

The movie "300" comes to mind.

It would matter if the Chinese had a 10 BILLION man army.
They dont have a formidable Navy with "Blue Water" capabilites. Their fleets would be destroyed and unless that army has some really good swimming lessons they arent goin no where!

An elite fighting force is better than an armed mob! any day of the week.

In 100 years China and the U.S. might not even be here. Or the Chinese may actually metamorphose into a real functioning democracy by that time and all will be well. It is in the interests of no one for a fight to occur at all. Downside is too great for all concerned. Whatever the outcome, both would be impaired beyond repair so whats the point?

Things would have to change a lot. The Chinese would have to spend several times what they do now on military equipment, and it would have to get a lot better than their current production models. It would have to catch up and surpass American standards - which is also improving.

Winning a war is a lot different than invading - as the United States is discovering in Iraq. I don't see any strategic interests of the Chinese in invading the United States.

No, because the US has the best training and resources. Also, we don't have a compulsory military, so our soldiers are more dedicated.

As for being in debt to China, how about all the countries in debt to us? Not to mention the aid we give to almost every country in the world every year. If we cut that off (or at least cut off aid to countries that don't support us), we'd shave a ton off the deficit.

You wont have to worry about that war, because when it happens their wont be any thing worth living for. Nothing but radiation all around.
Between the US and China they have enough nukes each to destroy the world several times over.

First of all I think you are all missing one big point. If China and the US ever went to War it would be WWIII and we would all freaking lose.

it's absolutely possible. china has a very large army, is industrializing, and is forming strong alliances with country's we don't completely get along with. it would take some drastic future events to escalate out of control, and the u.n. to be totally thrown out of the window for events like that to actually happen.

No, they most likely would keep doing it the way they are now. Slowly colonizing the west with excess population.
