I am using Sony Vegas 7 and there isn't an option to burn your project to dvd. What you have to do is render your video and then use DVD Architect ( or Adobe Encore DVD or any other DVD authoring program) to make it into a DVD.

An extract from the manual:
--------------------------
Vegas software does not create SVCDs or DVDs, but you can use the MPEG plug-in to render files for your SVCD/DVD-creation application. Consult the application's documentation to determine the file requirements before rendering.
------------------------

Basically to the least amount of work you have to save your VIDEO as mpeg2, using the Main Concept Mpeg2 template (can be selected from the SAVE AS TYPE drop down).

Then you have to render your audio separately to the format of your choice: AC3 or PCM (wav).

Now you have a DVD compliant MPEG2 video and Audio that you can use in any DVD Authoring program. I have only done this twice but i am pretty sure that is how it should be down, and that is what is recommended in the help file.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
