It depends what you mean by soft. Is it the pads? Pads and Rotors? Brake fluid? Either way it is out of warranty you can take it anywhere to fix or you can do them yourself if so inclined. Go to a Chain brake shop for a free estimate.

Before you spend any big $$$$$$$ have the hydraulic system bled. You may have a bit of air in the lines that will cause "soft" pedal. A test you can perform yourself is checking the master cylinder. With the car running, in neutral and or park, step on the brake pedal firmly, not stomped, and hold that pressure. If after a few seconds, 10 to 15 or sooner, you feel the pedal falling to the floor, you have a bad master cylinder and it will need to be replaced. It's rare but I have seen it, the ABS control unit may have an internal leak that is causing brake fluid to re-circuit and this to will cause a weak pedal. This unit is VERY pricey so if you get told you need one contact me and I will tell you where you can save some money. Oh, one other thing. This may sound dumb but it is common. Check you brake fluid. If it is down due to normal brake pad wear you may just need to add fluid and have the system bled out. You can actually be low on fluid and not have the warning light on. Good Luck, Scooter.

If it has soft brakes it probably has a leak in the master cylinder.
