I am going to New York City for a class field trip for Spanish. Everyone was so excited, until we heard the news about how the teachers are going to cancel it because not many people afford it, unless we have a fundraiser or something. I have been looking forward for this trip for years, and I can't let this happen! The trip was at first $400, and now they raised it up to $550! I can afford it, but my other friends can't. What are some good ways to raise some money to help people out so they can go too, BESIDES, walking dogs, babysitting, car washes, selling stuff door to door, mowing lawns (it's too cold), or chores and stuff? My friends and I are not old enough to get a job at a store or something. What are some UNIQUE ways to raise money???

I think to raise money you are going to have to sell something - so besides a bake sale or something I could recommend a giant yard sale - people in the community could donate items to it and then let you guys keep the proceeds to fund your trip. Everyone is doing spring cleaning now and I am sure many people have stuff to get rid of! You can make more than you think at a good yard sale. You can do it in the school cafeteria or something and advertise it in the local paper. People LOVE yard sales. GOOD STUFF + LOW PRICES = GREAT PROFIT! Good luck and have fun in New York City! :-)
