Is this a serious question? I'm intrigued......well, I was very severely effected by some (I reiterate some) of the teachings of the Catholic Church. It's been about 6 years now and I've slowly learned to appreciate the things that Jesus actually taught (the historical Jesus) and disregard dogma as controlling articles written by men to frighten people. If you read the Gnostics gospels which predate the 4 in the bible by I believe 30 or so years, you get a better idea of Jesus as one was written by Thomas 'the twin' also known as 'the doubter'. I also became a Buddhist practioner but honor my spiritual ancestors instead of rejecting them. I don't know if this helps but it's the dogma that was most damaging to me, not the actual unfiltered teachings (as unfiltered as they can be).....best to you.

One of the things Zen Buddhists apparently 'aim' to do is to forget everything they have learnt.
Perhaps that would be a starting point? Either that or just throw out that idea of mind and the dogma will be gone *pop*!

These are vague questions now aren't they? Corrupted implies they are untrue. If they are untrue, then you should have some sort of truth to substitute for it, and your answer would be there. If you hold it to be untrue but without any truth to substitute....well I think think the quote by G.K. Chesterton summarizes your position, "The Christian ideal has not been tried and found wanting; it has been found difficult and left untried."

I think it is almost impossible for people disentangle themselves from six thousand years of propagandist crap. A lot of what humans think and believe is unconcious. If a way could be found, I think it would take more than a few generations before the general thinking starts to change.

Write over that disk space with real knowledge. Like science? Or the phone number for Chinese delivery? Something important.

When I was a young lad my parents took me to the dentist and had mercury drilled into my teeth.
As an adult I simply decided to take it out.
It's as simple as that.
