Jessi, there are some really old farts (mentally) on this forum who are so wound up with socially induced BS that they are capable of reporting even the most insignificant crap you can imagine. Many people lose the sight of the main purposes of this forum, to entertain, amuse, inform and share and use it as their exclusive emotional scapegoat! Don't sweat it and kudos to you for speaking up!

A lot of people who report abuse do it mainly for the kicks, simply because they can. I remember asking a legitimate question a few months back, only to be slammed with a violation notice less than five minutes later. I think the abuser may have felt intimidated or somehow violated himself/herself, and decided to get even.

That is a bunch of bull, and you should not have gotten a violation for that. If you ask me, they just probably wanted a reason to ge ton someone's nerves that day, and that someone just happened to be you!!!!! ( If I got a violation (a.k.a., detention)at school for asking that question, do you have any idea how much time I would spend after school?!)

I made a statement, then asked a question. I did not put a question mark after the second sentence and someone reported me for not asking a question.
I made a comment , a legit answer, no swearing , no slander once, but the reader did not like it and reported me.
I stated my opinion and got reported. Some people just like to do it I guess.

I don't know why you got a violation. That seems ridiculous. Even cartoons for kids have fart or potty jokes in them. I've seen MUCH WORSE than that continue to pop up in Yahoo Answers.

I think some people give violations just because they think your question is in the wrong section, like in Philosophy instead of Politics, or whatever. Personally, I think that's getting way too nit-picky.

Sometimes I think that if you get reported for any reason the censors will give you a violation.
