When cats (and dogs) get an upset stomach, they eat grass because the chlorophyl act as an emitic (a drug that makes them throw up). Once they throw up they feel better. Nothing to worry about unless he does this frequently. If so, take him to a vet to find out why he has an upset stomach.

Don't worry, your cat will be fine. My cat used to sometimes throw up randomly after she ate something weird. You said that she always eats grass though, so maybe she ate a little too much. But I don't think you should let her eat grass and weeds anymore. Some can be very harmful to cats and others will just upset her digestive system. Keep an eye on her and give her plenty of water. If she continues to vomit tomorrow or doesn't eat, you should probably call your vet. She might not eat for a while, though. If she doesn't eat at all tomorrow, something might be wrong. Also if you see blood in the vomit or feces bring her to the vet immediately. Also if she seems weak or her stomach feels swollen and/or tender, bring her to the vet. But I think your cat will be fine, so don't worry.

Cats and Dogs eat grass when they have a sourstomach or a stomach ache, it acts as a natural vomit inducer! It is perfectly OK for your cat to eat grass, they do it for the right reasons, they are pretty smart! Your cat is fine, she probably just ate too much food or wasn't feeling good that day and ate some grass to settle her stomach-- monitor how much she eats and make sure she isn't stuffing herself.

Eating blades of grass often makes a cat vomit. Why cats eat grass is still amatter of controversy. Some say they do it so that they can induce themselves to vomit something unpalatable. Others think they eat grass as an instincual method of getting enough "scrubbage" (fibers) to ease bowel movement. Yet otherts think that they do it becuase once in a while, they feel like having a "salad."
But if your cat retches after eating grass, don't worry too much - its natural.

Cats and dogs will eat grass and then throw it up. It settles their stomach. Maybe he ate too fast that day. Smokey, our huge black cat who only goes out on a leash with us right there, will make a bee line for the yard to chow down on some grass and then a good upchuck.

Your cat ate the grass because he had an upset stomach. That is perfectly normal. You may have too big of a kibble for your cat to handle. Try switching to a smaller size kibble and see if that takes care of your problem.

As others have said on here....wait a couple days. Cats typically eat grass. They throw up. It maybe normal or maybe his stomach is a little upset. Wait a couple days. If he keeps throwing up, though talk to a vet.

Eating grass will do this to a cat. It is not that he isn't chewing his food, it is just the grass making him throw up. My cat's do this too so I try to not let them eat grass. But it does cleanse their teeth...There is nothing you can do about it.

Cats eat grass to try and calm their stomachs. It usually ends up the way you described. :) You might want to check with a vet if the problem continues just to make sure there's not a hairball blocking your cat's intestine or anything. Also, check to make sure the grass he/she is eating has not been treated with any weedkiller or pest killer! The chemicals can make your cat sick. Good luck! :)
