Take everything out from from clean each and every single thing corners and also put spray all over it. If there is anything left over food somewhere that makes it stink if u eat in your room. Maybe this summer you can even paint your room and change your carpet sometime when carpet gets very old it stinks too.

Find out WHAT and WHERE the smell is coming from. Is it old laundry that is sitting around or if there is a bathroom in your room is there a toliet/sink problem? AIR OUT YOUR ROOM. I wouldnt try to mask the problem with air freshener crap. Just air it out and clean your room down really good. Wash your bedding too, that stuff can smell funky if you havent washed it in a while.

First, you should try to find out why it smells. (dirty laundry, old food, etc) and eliminate it. Secondly, keep an air freshener, preferably in a high place, in your room at all times. Use a carpet deodorizer and vaccuum at least twice a week. (If you have no carpet, be sure to sweep now and again) and for a quick freshener, Febreeze or Oust are both good brands.

try opening the windows so that there will be fresh air ventilating. Also, try not to spray too much stuff because that will only work temperarily. Also, maybe the smell is in the carpets or curtains. Try cleaning those too.

wash all your clothing and sheets you have in the room, open the windows if you have any, air dry any shoes you may keep in your room, use air freshner, plugins etc. throw away anything you can do without that may have or store odor. if these do not work move out.

Open all windows and doors and air it out.

If you want to investigate further, find out the source of the odor and eliminate it.
