Dog's are more sociable and cuddley (affectionate). Cats are more reclusive and anti-social. Most dogs will climb in your lap and beg for attention, cats are just as happy hiding in the corner.

Dogs have been domesticated longer than cats and are pack animals, so they have a lot more social behaviors that make them easier to relate to and understand. I have both dogs and a cat in the house, and the dogs are just more like friends than the cat is.

I have both a dog and 2 cats. I like my dog better because he seems to be more into me. He always looks to me for Que's on what to do and how to act. He actually seems to want to please me. My cats are only interested in me when they want something. Whether its food , water or petting. I can be in the house all day and not see my cats unless I go near there food containers.

Cat's are like people and if I wanted to be around people I would go hang out with my friends. Dogs are loyal and submissive and are happy as long as you are around. Cat's will look you up and down then turn away.. As a human, I interpret that as saying, " f*** off!" Too much attitude!

besides the fact that they pay more attention to you than cats? Or besides the fact that they are freaking happy as hell to see you? Or maybe it's because their more loving than a self centered feline?
I think dogs are better companions overall, I had a cat for over a year and hated it then we got 2 dogs and they are very fun, loving and caring.

I am allergic to cats. Plus, dogs usually have a more friendly attitude. They usually are eager to play wit hyou while cats usually are finicky and loners.

dogs don't spray like cats and leave a fowl oder. They have more of a dependency on owner oppose to cats.

Because dogs are more: "I want you to play with me" pets and cats are: "I just want food, water,shelter,and nothing else!" Cats are aloof.
