The investigators have dropped the whole "Operation Puerto" and no riders have been charged. Although Spain's state prosecutor has vowed to re-open the case, no charges can be filed due to a technicality. Spain's current anti-doping law was not in place when the original charges were filed.

The Spanish criminal authorities have closed the case, since they couldn't prove that Spanish law was broken.

However, the Swiss cycling authorities are still trying to get the evidence, because they allege that Ullrich violated their rules as a licensee, which are different than the Spanish criminal law. So, Jan's lawyers are still fighting in the Swiss courts. As far as I've heard, no DNA testing has been done yet, and the Spanish court doesn't want to release the evidence.
