If you can go out and don't mind spending a little then get a good brand of brownie mix like Betty Crocker© or similar. If you can't/ don't want to go out then this recipe is your best bet.
Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1 cup butter
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnut halves (optional)
Directions
Melt the butter or margarine and mix all ingredients in the order given.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 30 minutes in a 9x13" greased pan.

Easy Brownies
1 cup butter
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter and chocolate together in the microwave in a large bowl stirring once or twice. Stir in the sugar then the flour and baking powder and then the eggs. Stir in the vanilla and walnuts. Pour into a greased 8 1/2 by 13-inch pan. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes or until done. Do not over bake. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream

Easy Old Fashioned Brownies
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1/3 cup butter, softened
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Preheat oven to 375º F (175º C).
In a bowl combine sugar, eggs, softened butter, melted unsweetened chocolate, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt. Add chopped nuts.
Spread evenly in a greased 8-inch baking pan.. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
Makes 12 bars.

WHITE CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
1/4 c unsalted butter
6 ounces white chocolate coarsely chopped
2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 c semisweet chocolate pieces
lightly grease a 8x8x2 inch baking pan, set aside. in a heavy small saucepan cook and stir butter and half of white chocolate over low heat until melted. remove from heat.
in a medium bowl beat eggs with an electric mixer until foamy. gradually add sugar and beat about 3 minutes. add melted white chocolate mixture, flour salt, and vanilla. beat until combined. stir in semisweet chocolate pieces and the remaining white chocolate. spread in the prepared pan.
bake in a 350 oven about 30 minutes or until the top is browned. cool in pan on a wire rack. cut into bars. store. covered, in refrigerator. makes about 20 brownies.
