We've tried the carbon filters but I am looking for a cheap, natural way to do it. I am mega gaining weight because I make juice all the time because I can't stand the water.

Is the water really that bad or do you just not like water in general? Most filters do an excellent job of filtering the water. You might try weaning yourself off the juice, by watering it down. Gradually change the ratio until you have more water than juice. Squeezing a lemon slice into the water also is good.

If the water still tastes "yucky," and you need to make juice, make Crystal Lite. It's sugar free.

Or make Kool-Aid with Splenda instead of sugar.

If filters arent doing the job, I can assure you boiling it isnt going to change the flavor. I suggest buying bottled water.

Usually I boil the water before drinking it to get all of the impurities out first

Best trick is to drink it ICE cold. You can also make iced tea - it has no calories and if you get a strong flavor, it should cover up the icky taste.
