I plan on going to Hawaii with my daughter who will be 16 at the time in October. Is the weather good at that time. I don't want alot of rainy days, and staying in our hotel. Are there any hurricanes during that time. Basically I want to know if its a good time to go. Thanks

October in Hawaii is right in the middle of our "rainy" season. However, that does not mean that there will be a lot of rain. Even if it does rain while you are here, the rain here is warm and usually doesn't last for long.
October is also in the middle of the hurricane season here in Hawaii but like the rain, who knows what Mother Nature is going to give to us this upcoming year.
My advice, plan on coming to Hawaii in October. October is the low season for us and hotels and such should be lower than compared to the summer.
Have a great time.....no matter what happens, you and your daughter will make some fabulous memories of Hawaii for her Sweet Sixteen!

Hawaii is beautiful in October. It's one of my favorite months here, but to be truthful, they're all pretty nice. :) Hurricane season is in the late summer/fall. I can't believe the first poster said that there are no hurricanes in the Pacific! Ever heard of Hurricane Iniki? It practically wiped out Kauai in 1992.

Which island will you be visiting? Hurricane season I think is from September thru December. But it missed us. As for rain, it depends which island and what part of the island. I live in Kamuela, on the Big Island and the weather right now is sunny, high winds, and in the low 70s. However, it's the wettest part on the island.

It rains there year round, but its pretty hit and miss.. And they don't have Hurricanes in the pacific, only typhoons. But oct is a great time, its still in season, but its the low point of it.
