I'm guessing you want a show line (much easierto handle) go to local-ish dog shows and talk to breeders...if that's too much work for you, go to petfinder.com and type in samoyed puppy in the advanced search...you will be amazed with the number of results, all shelter dogs (some purebreds, too!) who need a forever home.

I have a male samoyed. They are a very fun breed but there are a few things you need to consider. They require a SERIOUS amount of grooming so that their coats are kept in good condition and aren't matted. This means they really aren't great dogs to just keep out in the yard.

They prefer colder weather so if you live in a very warm climate be prepared for a large air-conditioning bill!

They can be a little bit hard to train sometimes and tend to have a bit of stubborn streak and mine does have a tendancy to chew up stuff.

On the plus side you will get a million compliments on what a beautiful dog you have.

Why? Have you had one before? They are cute as puppies, but all that hair and droll will get everywhere. If you are willing to take it to the groomer for Monthly baths and trimmings, it won't be so bad. They are also big talkers. Most people don't know that, but they are barkers and sometimes screamers. Have fun!

Then by all means get one, but I would research this breed first! I had one and they are alot of work, love to be with people all the time, and have to be groomed all the time!

Do research on the breed. Don't get one just because you want a fluffy white pup.
