I have a male chihuahua that ways no more than 25lbs. Im taking it Friday to get it neutered and shots. About how much should I expect this to cost?

Regular vets charges can vary - I know here it can go up to $200 or $300. That's the bad news. The good news is pretty much every community has a great spay/neuter clinic hiding somewhere that does the surgery for much cheaper. Our clinic charged us $45 for our most recent dog and she was 45 lbs and in heat. Try calling your local animal shelter and asking them for the name of a clinic or try 1-800-SPAY-USA for a referral to a local clinic. And yay to you for getting your dog fixed - you're helping save lives.

It shouldn't be more than $150 (my sister had her cat neutered and this was the cost)

The rescue organization I adopted my dogs from never charge more than $300 for any dog and they are often under $200 ~ that would be for vaccinations, neuter cost, and any other thing the dog needed.

I know that's not an exact answer, but It kind of gives you a ball park.

I'm sure where you live there are low cost neuter places and low cost vaccinations.

We took our dog to one and it only cost us $45 to have him neutered and he's a 60lb lab.

Vacinations really depend on your vet and what type of vacinations you're getting ours are about $40 but they can be more. If you're getting 3 year vacinations they will cost more.

I just got my Bichon Frise spayed (which weighs 11 pounds)and it was $270.00 but that included all the pain, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic meds and follow up visits. It all depends where you go and what you get with the spay/neuter surgery.
Good luck....

my jack russell was $125 just 2 weeks ago. I think that your's should be around the same. They are about the same size and all.

$75.00 should be good because we took our chocolate lab to a place and we had her done for that but i'd say no more than $150.00!
