My boyfriend of 9 years left our house to go to a different state for a job. He was supposed to be gone for 2 weeks. This was 1 year and 7 months ago. He has not been home once. We have a four year old daughter together. She and I have been there to visit 6 times, he always sends me money to go see him. I have been staying with my mother for the last 4 months, now her house has sold and she has 6 weeks to be out. Should I move on with my life without him or should I move to another state away from my family, to be with him?

go be with your man if he's working, I don't think he'd send you $ to come see him if he didn't want you near. Talk to him about it and see what he says

If he wanted to be with you he would have been beggin you to move there with him. The fact that he hasnt come to see you and his daughter is really bad. He should be making every effort to spend as much time with you both as he can. If he really wanted to still be in this relationship he would be making a really big effort. If he is not, then you should leave. I think you already know in the bottom of your heart this is not going to work.

I say move to be with him, you love him dont u? or u wouldnt have waited patiently all this time! Maybe its time for u guys to be together as a family =) but find out if he loves u too first....dont rush into it. GOOD LUCK!

You have to sit down with him and sort out each others priorities. For now, I suggest that you find a place to live and talk to him to see what he also wants.

how do you feel about your boyfriend? do you feel he wants you with him, or not? would you be happy with him? have you discussed this with him at all, or are you sweeping it under the rug?
do you know how he feels? have yo made the effort to talk about your situation?
most of us have pretty good intuition -- it's a gift and we usually know whether someone is interested in us, or not.
do what you feel is best and in you and your daughter's bests interests....

honey if he hasn't been home for that long.. then it seems to me like he doesn't miss much.... find your own place where you are at... if he still wants you then he will come a calling.... good luck to you honey..
