I have TONS of old batteries and im always trying different combos to try and get them to work even for a second cause i take alot of pictures and each one i can get really makes a difference but it would be nice to know if they were dead before i keep them and keep trying to use them, ya kno? i've tried having one constant battery, then replacing the other one with diff ones and judging power based on that, and sometimes the ones that still have power feel heavier, or that may just be my imagination but does anyone know a way to tell how much power a battery has left?

A battery tester or voltmeter.

I dont think the charged batteries weigh any more than the dead ones.

Buy rechargeable batteries and a charger for them. It's ALOT cheaper in the long run.

I sense a pack rat here. if you have tons of OLD batteries, that have been used and you took them out of something because it wasn't working anymore, then they should be thrown away.
Get new batteries, quit hanging on to old ones, besides after awhile I think they can start to leak and battery acid isn't fun!

You can buy a battery tester. I do have a suggestion. Just buy rechargeable batteries. They are a bit more expensive but you can use them over and over. This will stop the clutter of batteries you have created........good luck!

You can tell an AA battery is dead when it stops breathing after overdosing on alcohol and missing most of its AA meetings!

Hope this helps buddy lol!

You make a foil string and connect the two sides together. Then you lick the foil.

Left... no.... but you'll need a voltmeter of some sort to see if they have any power left.
