A cheese pie is flat about 1 inch. Most cheese pies are something like a quiche or a lemon cheese pie.
Every cheese cake is made in a spring form about 4 inches high and has more filling than a pie.

I would consider it delicious no matter what.I ate a New York Cheesecake once they are delicious.I think they are a cake in a pie pan because they have eggs in it.

I have recipes for both. Cheesecake is made in a spring form pan and is much higher than a cheese pie which is usually made in a pie plate.

Sweetie, what is it w/you and cake??? lol
I consider it a cake. After all, you don't call it a "cheese pie" because that just sounds gross. Cheesecake sounds more appealing. :)

I would consider it in the dessert catagory. It isn't a pie or a cake.

It is more like cake in its texture. It doesn't have a top and bottom crust and it doesn't have a typical kind of filling.
