Ok..I have a manual pump airgun that delivers about 650 fps. I want to buy a hand airgun that shoots about 450 fps but it is CO2 powered.
I never worked with the 12 gram pressurized CO2 canister before.. is it worth it? How long does one canister last? Can I get off effective, accurate shots before the canister runs out?
I know the advantage of C02 canisters is that you don't have to pump for every shot, the presurized canister provides the air pressure for you.
But I'm concerned that for each shot, the air pressure decreases - wouldn't this lower accuracy and fun!

You're right, Co2 guns will lose their power and accuracy as
the Co2 get lower, where as pump pneumatics don't have that
problem. Only you can answer your own question, how lazy am I? I own Co2's, pump pneumatics, and spring powered
guns. All are tuned for more power than stock versions, and I always decide on that same question, how much do I want to
work? Also, don't let the Co2 loss make that the deciding factor. My favorite Co2 gun is a 2250XT by Crosman, modifided by a airgunsmith for more power. It uses a 88 gram
Co2 bottle, it gives me around 100-110 full power shots, dependeing on ambient air tempeture. What a lot of people
don't know is that Co2 preforms the best in temps above 75 degrees. The colder it is, the less power your get. Co2 guns
aren't winter guns. That's when I only shoot pumps or
springers.
Good luck in your choice.

The pump is by far the best of the two.
I have had the CO2 and was very disappointed.
First 3 to 5 shots your good all others get slower and slower to a point of useless.
The pump is the same shot after shot.
I will never waste my money on another CO2 weapon.
You are very correct on the power loss on each shot.
Stick with the pump up they are a lot more fun.
I’m coming up on 50 years old and still enjoy my pellet rifle.
I have a Gamo that’s pushing about 1200 fps.

Hope this was of help.

The first 5 or so shots will be at 450fps, but after that they will rapidly decrease in power with each shot. The pistol I have only gets about 25-30 shots before they start just falling out of the barrel. Personally I wouldn't get a Co2 pistol unless it was a very high quality gun, otherwise it is just a waste of money.
