i would ,why not everyone in some way is a student-we all are students at life so give someone the chance to better themselves and if they do a good job- the better theyll be by that learning experience you have provided and youll look all the better for it with all the attention youll get from the students and teachers by the extra time they will provide as you will be there only client you dont have to worry about being rushed off or other clients coming in and them having to stop...... like life give it a chance

As a license cosmetologist i can tell you by experience that the only thing students can do is learn from their mistakes. U can go to a school and have it done for alot cheaper but you are also risking not having it done the right way or the right color you want, granted their are teachers there to help but a majority of the work is done by students, and as a former student of seven years ago I can tell you that when a color sat down in my chair I didn't have a clue as what to do and why. As a color specialist now, I have learned alot in seven years and having clients come to me and "risking" the chance of having thier hair colored by a student is the only way they will learn.
Good Luck!

"sue saying you have a large event coming up."
You can't do that, because if you're allowing a student to do your hair, you usually have to sign a waiver saying that if it doesn't turn out the way you want it to, there isn't anything you can do, except maybe get it for free.

I would trust them, they get a lot of training before being allowed to do anything.

Sure, no problem, they have instructors watching everything they do. You shouldn't have any problems. That's where any expensive beautician learned their trade, all you are doing is giving someone a chance at being a better cosmetologist.

No No and No. I did and they literally fried my hair off and I had to cut it really short. Believe me you get what you pay for.
