can i learn to have humor?

i am generally a serious looking person. At the same time i feel very much to like to creat a happy and cheerful atmosphere among my frinends and my girlfriend. How can i learn to do that?

Well you can never learn to be funny but you can try getting in the groove anyway. I would say people are easily amused by puns. Try reading puns on the net - try to cook up some of your own - however badly spun those might sound. Go through lists of homonyms - in short try punning on every opportunity you get.

Humor is not something you can just find. But try a few things and the humor may come. Make sure that you are happy. Try listening more and asking people more questions to get them to open up. Always greet people with a smile. Try not to dwell on bad things. Be supportive when people share their dreams, likes etc. If you find yourself in a bad mood or about to say something negative, count to ten first. You can still be serious, but if you put on a nice face, you can have a good time.

If you do don't have humor, that most likely means you aren't as smart as you may have hoped, or you aren't as witty. There's no way to learn how to be funny. I mean, I'm pretty serious, but out of bitterness, I'm fairly witty and clever and people understand that. I don't try to be funny. People who try to be funny are usually not funny at all, unless they're comedians. But, they have to do it with money and they have practiced their jokes...

Relax and go wit the flow. Dont take things so damn seriously. Try and do stuff wit your galfriend that make you both feel good or made ya'll laugh.
