Have any of you heard THIS?

The Kyoto Protocol calls for mandatory carbon dioxide reductions of 30% from developed countries like the U.S. Reducing man-made CO2 emissions this much would have an undetectable effect on climate while having a devastating effect on the U.S. economy. Can you drive your car 30% less, reduce your winter heating 30%? Pay 20-50% more for everything from automobiles to zippers? And that is just a down payment, with more sacrifices to come later.

Such drastic measures, even if imposed equally on all countries around the world, would reduce total human greenhouse contributions from CO2 by about 0.035%.

This is much less than the natural variability of Earth's climate system!

All this is being asked of us while at the same time we know WITHOUT doubt that people are starving on this planet. Daily.

Can anyone tell me what the REAL motive behind kyoto must be since it will have ZIP impact on the environment.

well it is important since CO2 levels do have a major impact on global temperatures.. that's a fact, I have had 3 upper division geology and biology classes and I have seen and studied the hard facts.

one other thing that the kyoto protocol did indirectly was force industires to practice safer environmental practices in general...... having to use scruber and further regulations on waste, hard and licquid into the environment

It's fairly straightforward. Al ('I invented the Internet') Gore has been delegated the task of convincing the 'sheeple' that the World is coming to an end. And all of these fine folk are poised to throw gigabucks at 3'rd world manufacturing investment opportunities. And that, of course, would make them even richer since the 3'rd world isn't bound by the Kyoto Accords and it would allow them to compete in world markets on a very slanted playing field.

It's all just a road show. And it points out, again, the fundamental truth that, if you want to know what's *really* happening, follow the money.

Aha! You have discovered that the Kyoto Protocol was all about politics and not about the environment. Unfortunately, environmental issues have become a weapon of the radical left and the useful idiots that fall for every anti-American scheme they conceive.

Everyone should be aware of environmental impact and do their best to conserve and protect the planet, but they should not be duped.

Good for you!

reducing CO2 emissions supplies a advance to the community economic equipment. convalescing performance besides as using wind, photograph voltaic, tidal etc that are produced domestically ability the money keeps to be in the community economic equipment. quite then uploading the potential from volatile worldwide places which we then have invade with a view to guard "our interest". (no longer unlike how the army became used to guard the hobbies of yank corporation in South usa)
