Or should I let her get to know me better before I meet her Kid?

Get to know her better first.
When my mom met my step dad (I was 6), they dated for a good month before I met him. It's a good thing, because after that they rarely had 'dates', it would be all three of us going out to do things.

I don't think having the kid on the first date would be a good idea.Myabe on the first date if it went wlel then at the end suggest that you really like her and want her child to like you as well and you would like to get to know the child and maybe suggest a group outing like the three of you going to the zoo or some type of fun place but only if the mother would like to or tell her if not then when she is ready. You dont want to jump into a child life and you end up breaking up with the mother.A mother is very protective of her child. So she will either like the fact that you asked that and maybe plan a group together or simply keep that in mind and see how you and her get along first before doing so.

If you are cool with the kid possibly coming along, I would suggest it because more then likely she won't bring them around you just yet but she will most likely appreciate the fact that you tried to include them in your plans as well.

I am a single mother and I would definitely wait a long while to bring my daughter around anyone I was dating but if the offer was out there, I would definitely appreciate that they recognize and respect that I do have a child but would definitely turn it down esp on a first date.

Take care and good luck:)

NO! don't ask her to bring her kid. I'm a single mom. In my opinion, it is best to get to know each other without involving kids. Kids get attached to people and if things don't work out, the kid's heart gets broken. She may not have figured this out yet. So if she wants you to meet her kid, be willing but explain that you don't want her kid to get hurt.

Let her get to know you first..

You can however offer to pay for a babysitter for the evening and bring the child a small gift (colorbook and crayons, play-doh, stuffed animal, something that's only a couple dollars) when you pick her up.. You don't want to lavish a large gift on the child but you also don't want the child to feel left out completely.

If the date goes well ask her what she would like to do for the next date..

Pay for a babysitter, assuming the kid is young, but either way, start out with just you and her to get to know each other better before bringing the kid into it -- no matter WHAT the kid's age!

No. You should invite her out. When she wants you to meet her kids because she feels comfortable enough to do that, then you should meet the kids. Single moms should not introduce their kids to each guy they date, unless he becomes more than just a date. You could offer to pay for her sitter... nice jesture!

Let her get to know you better, bringing the kid would make a first date even more awkward, imo.

Get her used to you first. that will help you ease in with the kid if she is on your side. You may cause a culture-shock like reaction. If my mom (who is single) took me on her date with some guy neather of us knew to well it would crewat akward situartions, a lot of pauses and in some cases it would be a disaster (some people [such as myself] are hell raisers when they get a chance)

I would have her bring her kid. not only do you get to know the kid but it also looks good on you for trying to get to know the kid.
