I don't understanding cheating...but if a guy is going to cheat on their wife or girlfriend...why won't they at least cheat with
1. someone that has a great personality instead of a flake
2. someone that is gorgeous, better looking instead of a very unattractive person
3. someone that is intelligent enough to hold a conversation instead of someone that in so out there that anything makes sense in thier little world.
Are men that intimidated by attractive, intelligent women with outgoing personalities?

Usually guys don't seek out a person they want to stay with, only someone who was easy when they wanted it.
BTW, I see you are in AK, so am I. Girls up here are easy, and not usually attractive, so thats probably why he went for an ugly one!

That is not actually true, some men who are unsure about their own success sometimes get intimidated by successful women, but those of them who have already set their tracks and have already embarked on a success journey don't get intimidated at things like that.
And besides, if a person is being cheated, the main thought which comes to her mind would be, that the second one is completely inferior to what she is at that point. Although this is not true in all instances, but in most of them, this is the real possibility.

first off most men don't cheat. i find it's women who cheat more often in my experiences. but thats a discussion for another day. when men do cheat it's about sex. we're not looking for a replacement most of the time we're happy with what we got it's about getting your rocks off and when it comes down to it getting your rocks off is about ease of entry. a girl who does not look great will be more willing to open her legs if you tell her she's beutiful, a girl who isn't smart won't talk very much she will just take it and keep moaning. it's like pets or strippers, neither one wants to know where the relationship is going, where are we headed, what time we'll be home, they don't care what color the walpaper is they are there solely to please us. thats why guys will always love cheap floozies because anything too dumb to question us we like having around. and for the short term its fantastic, but when it comes to a long term relationship we pick smart good looking girls the only problem is it gets hard and so sometimes in order to rejuvinate ourselves we fall back on the simpletons to get strength. i'm not saying cheating is ok, i've never done it and plan to never do it. but this is the answer to your question.

People cheat because they are not getting what they need out of the relationship. If they would like to stay together they must talk about what they need. In alot of cases the may have already tried to do this and weren`t taken seriously. Listen to each and every word you mate says to you. Sometimes you have to read between the lines.

I think men can be intimidated by attractive, intelligent women with outgoing personalities. But also, perhaps men cheat with women that are not so desirable so that they won't risk falling in love?

Sounds like you know the person who he cheated with and just want to put it into perspective.....don't even try. Why cheating happens have so many different reasons it can boggle your mind if you let it. Get on with your life and try your best to make yourself happy with the things you like most. Too much time is wasted trying to figure out something like this and could cloud your eyes to see what's right in front of you.

Sounds like someone got cheated on. Remember what you find attractive and intelligent may not be the same as what he sees. I say dump him and dont worry about what tramp he picked up.

Nope if they are going to be cheating why are they going to look for qualities they already have at home...They are only lookin for someone in the bedroom not someone they will hang out with....So qualities for this type of relationship doesnt exist...

I've noticed the same trend among men. I think that they realy are intimidated my women who are attractive and intelligent.

because they are only sleeping with them.
#1 a flake doesnt care they are married
#2 its less work getting an unnatractive woman
#3 cause less conversation means more sex
If married women wanted to have sex more often this wouldn't happen "AS" much
