I have window xp with 8.5 gb . i want to record down loaded audio on to cd-r . i want to know whether it is possible or if feacible how i should go about for recording nonstop playing five hours on a single disc. i may be elicidated .

In standard CD WAV format, this would be impossible. You will need to convert your recording into MP3 format, 128kbps bitrate will give you approx 1MB per minute therefore 5 hours = around 300MB which would easily fit onto a 700MB CD. You would only be able to play it on a PC or MP3 enabled CD player though. You should probably use something like NERO to burn an MP3 CD if you want to be able to play it outside your PC....
You could think about increasing the bitrate to get a better quality recording if you want.

yes if u put it onto an mp3 format. if u record the audio thn use a cd burning software such as deepburner then u will b abl to get roughly 125 songs or about 5 hours worth of music
