I was wondering this for a while...I can't seem to be able to detect a difference in Soya milk, especially when mixed with Cacao and pretty much that is what I'm drinking now...

So is there a difference or, meh?

Better for what?
For lactose intollerant persons it is neeed as a calcium source.
For phenyl ketonuriacs(missing an enzyme to digest the amino acid phenyl alanine) it is necessary in their baby formula.
For women who want the phyto hormones for menopause it is good.
Do watch for high sugar varieties. That is not needed in our calcium supply.

There is a lot of sugar in many soy milks - check for that, definitely not good. They sometimes call it "naturally milled organic sugarcane" or something like that to disguise it, but it's still plain old sugar.

Also some talk of hormones in soy, not certain if that's been proved or disproved.

No...it isn't better.

It is only an alternative for people who don't like milk, or can't drink it due to dairy sensitivity, or for people who are vegan, or for people who want more soy in their diet.

It is not even close to resembling the nutritional makeup of real milk. It says "milk", but that has nothing to do with any association with milk.
