It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap..
Here are some men and women who mocked God:
JOHN LENNON:
During his interview with an American Magazine, he said:
"Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, Today we are more famous than Him" (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
THE MAN WHO BUILT TITANIC:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: "Not even God can sink it"
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
MARILYN MONROE:
Visited by Billy Graham . He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: "I don't need your Jesus! Later she is found dead..

God will not be mocked.

Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Matthew 12:35-37 (in Context)

There are some here in this section that will have to explain some of their answers on the day of judgment. Don't matter whether they believe or not. They will still have some explaining to do to God.

With the John Lennon quote, it was taken out of context. Rarely is the rest of it when he explains himself listed. He was saying that more kids were paying attention to the Beatles than to God. As for the Titanic, Thomas Andrews (the designer–Harland and Wolfe built it) never said that. Several others who were involved with it did. A shipbuilding magazine said it was virtually unsinkable. No one is certain who actually said the quote. Marilyn Monroe was a confused and used woman, frequently used by people professing to be Christians. However, there are people who on a daily basis ignore God and nothing seems to happen to them. It's not really our place to make judgments about why these things happen.

You started your "question" on the theme of the soul. Why didn't you describe just what a soul is ? How big is it ? Where in the body is it located ? What color is it ? What is its weight ? What does it feel like ? Why haven't doctors who operate on bodies just as life ends, never witnessed a soul ?
If these, and other questions can't be answered, what evidence is there of its reality ? Please don't mention some overly superstitious person who lived a couple of thousand years ago. He knew about as much about souls as a bedbug.
You mention a number of occurrences and attribute them to the work of God. Have you ever thought of co-incidences ?

Because of their wordly success, in their own minds they become invincible. But it's the accolades of the world that convince and deceive them of their apparent immortality. The world since the beginning has convinced man that he can be an immortal god. But the moment he reaches for it, he separates himself from the only life eternal, and dies. Unfortunately, only a few really learn the lesson of what it is to truly be alive and live. Pride goes before the fall, and many have fallen in their own selfishness.

Lennon -- shot 20 years after this alleged statement.
Titanic -- Was sunk by an iceberg, a perfectly explainable event. How sadistic a deity would have to be to kill hundreds of people to spite the creator of the ship when the creator wasn't on board.
Monroe -- Known hoax, never actually happened.

Is there an expiration date on the wrath of God? John Lennon was shot something like 13 years after making that statement.

This is from a thoroughly disgusting email. The only sentiment I can see in it is bullying.

Good examples of some famous people who rejected God. Just imagine all of the not-so-famous people that reject Him. If a man gain the whole world and lose his own soul, then he has lost it all and one second after death they will regret not receiving the free gift of redemption.

My thoughts are that I wouldn't dare mock God!
I believe in the scripture. I believe God is a loving
God, and a God of Justice. He is all knowing and
perfect rightousness. I believe the scripture is God
breathed!
Amen

Sad indeed but what is sadder is the fact that many people who don't know our Lord and who write hateful messages will spend the rest of their lives in Hell when they die. Its one thing to try to be cute with words but every time you blasten God you are one step closer to the sea of fire.

Whether or not there are immediate results to someone's arrogance against God, God is not mocked. There are many who will be shocked to find themselves standing before God realizing their "wisdom" was flawed.
