Have had a lot of problems with my Tomtom One, memory cards are not that good. It suddenly stopped working altogether, started working again but although you can put in an address and it plans a route, it does not speak the directions which is very frustrating as you have to keep looking at the screen. Cannot find any answers on the Tomtom help site either.

Mine did something similar after i dropped it, i had to reset it several times to remedy fault. Just use a needle type object on the reset button underneath, but make sure that the battery is at least partly charged first, (mine wouldn't re-set properly until i charged battery for an hour or so first....?????). It'll also mean that your favourites will be deleted, so be prepared.
One hint is to input your home as someone else's address nearby, (preferably someone who you don't like.....or the local drug dealers house....lol). One trick of the scummy satnav thief, is to steal your satnav in town, then go to your HOME while he knows you're out and pinch all of your stuff. So if you put in someone else's address...........the thieving little sh**s might get an unpleasant surprise.....lol.

Maybe he's depressed. Or maybe you switched something on or off. Is there a reset button to return the setting to the original factory defaults?
