We need to be able to tell the difference between the peace loving jesus-people and the corrupt aggressive criminal christians. Any suggestions?

there's weird extremeistst in every religon...
the thing is if they were really religous then they wouldn't be doin these things!

Because the word "Christian" is so misused and misunderstood, I no longer refer to myself as a Christian. I am following in the ways of Jesus or following after Jesus. I seek to live life the way he taught and lived.

Well, you've got Christians-people who are followers of Christ and you've got folks who merely call themselves Christians, but fail to even attempt to live out the label. They're content just being "good people."

Why do you think by changing the name it would change the identification? I guess I don't agree on the name change, people who are criminals, as you suggest, would just glam on to the new name as well. I don't think we can be the judge of people. Perhaps other input could sway my opinion, but I think not.

Whatever works for you. Chritians are sinners, both the good and bad. Christ will forgive them all if you believe and confess to his way before the end.
