How do I dye tips of a red to blond without doing the whole head??

Iam wanting to Dye my red haired bf's tips of his hair to blond? Is this possible. I want for him to still have his red hair and just want the tips to be blond. Does this look kool and how can i do it without doing the whole head????

So, spike up his hair, put gloves on, then put color on your finger tips, and put the color on his hair tips. If you don't wanna do it that way, get a comb, and put the color on the comb and kinda brush it through the tips of his hair. Or do that with a color brush.

you can use a toothbrush dunked in the dye to paint the hair you wish to turn, use tin foil if it will be touching other hair you do not want to dye.

just the tips? use a small bowl and dip the tips into the bowl of dye, or just use the brush and brush the ends.

I would section off the hair first and make sure everything is even before you do or you will have a very funny line of color.

The ease of this all depends on how long his hair is....
In order to not get dye on the parts you don't want dyed, I always comb a bit of conditioner through the parts I don't want dyed.

Then I dye the parts I want dyed, and cover them in foil.
