I'm not going to the store until next friday. And until then, I plan on making Spaghetti tonight. I thought we had one jar of sauce left in the pantry but I guess someone used it for last weeks dinner. So, these are the three items that I have for tonight's dinner. Pasta, Extra Lean Ground Beef and 3 Cans of Diced Tomatoes. Is is possible to make spaghetti like that? If not, what can I make instead?

Do you have any parmesan cheese, like the grated stuff in the shaker?

In that case, you can do pasta, tomatoes, beef, and cheese.

I don't know about the diced tomatoes. They're fine, but they probably need seasoning. If you can find a spaghetti sauce recipe, you can look at the ingredients besides tomatoes, and add those to your diced tomatoes (to make something more close to spaghetti sauce).

Yes! Do you have a food processor or even a blender? I make my own sauce and it starts with a can of diced tomotoes. Throw it in a food processor (or blender) and add spices (garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning) and pulse until the desired consistancy. Viola! You've got sauce without a bunch of sugar and preservatives in that jar stuff. :)

Brown the beef and add 1 can of tomatoes. Add it to cooked spaghetti. I hope you have spices, garlic and onions to add!

Cheap meal!

Check the pantry for garlic(fresh) dried basil, oregano, black and crushed red pepper. And you got spaghetti bolognese.

You can make it--it won't really be a sauce, but you will have a fairly balanced meal.
