Are police and firefighters wearing mourning bands on their badges from 9-11? If so, how long will that be for? If not, do you know when they stopped? Tks.

Mourning bands are generally worn upon the death of an officer (or firefighter in the case of the FDNY). They are generally permitted until the individual being mourned has been laid to rest.

While these agencies may permit special indicia of remembrance for 9/11 victims, it is doubtful that bands are still being worn for that tragic attack. More than likely, an officer has died in the line of duty.
