Are there any tips for a gymnast who is not flexible but good in tumbling. I want to be able to do backbends (bridges) that my head is very close to my legs. I can do bridges but not like that. I am only flexible in my hips. I can do all three splits. If you answer this question it would be very helpful. Thanks.

NOTE: Torso is the area between your neck and your hips.

A constant commitment to stretching is key.

Quite often when we exercise our muscles shorten and become tight.
You need to stretch before , during and after your workout.

Heehee I'm a gymnast too!
Ok. Well you can do a bridge, and then after you hold that for a while-stretch a pike position. (it will loosen the muscles that are tight back there) And repeat 2-3 times
-Hope this helps-
Good luck =]

Tight hamstrings could hinder lower back flexibility. Also try stretching your pirisforms and gluts.

have you ever been to the physician at present? your spinal chord is unnaturally bent. do you have scoliosis? sluggish stretching beyond favourite time is all you're able to do. some people, at the same time with me, are certainly unflexible, so which you're able to never be waiting to be as versatile as you prefer. returned, a physician can inform you this.
