My absolute favorite are Ear drops that can help relieve the pain of an earache. A blend of mullein and garlic oil is a good choice because of its antiviral and antibacterial properties; St. John's wort and calendula can also be added. Ear oil can be found at a health food store. Wal mart sell something called sweet oil too. It will not have the healing properties as the other but warming it and putting it in your ear will help.

Ibuprophen can be a great pain relief.

Heat from a heating pad or a hair dryer set on low feel awesome too!

Many find that warmth, perhaps from a warm compress, brings comfort.

Steam inhalations may also help, but take care not to burn yourself; protect your eye area as well.

Taking antihistamines may dry out your throat and respiratory passages; sip water frequently.

Gargling with salt water helps soothe an aggravated throat and clear the eustachian tubes.

Holding your head erect can help drain your middle ear.
