I feed my dogs Wellness. Its all natrual, a variety of real meat, veggies and berries. No useless fillers, harmful preservitieves or other additives that are harmful to your pets.

Check out these links, they are very informative about what is really in your dogs food and what stuff to look to avoid in your dogs food. It opened my eyes on this. Really because of this website and their information, the pet recall was no surprize..... I glad these companies now have to act responsibly and be held accountable for their actions and greed.

Your dog is so lucky that you want to feed him the best. You could do worse than Pedigree, but there are several better quality kibbles.
After having fed most of the major brands, as well as Premium brands, over the past 39 years as a breeder, I heartily recommend Canidae. Other good kibbles are Wellness, Inova, Natural Balance, and Solid Gold..
Most of these you will find at any local pet supply shop, but not likely in the big chain stores..
You will find that you actually SAVE per month by feeding any of these foods, as, although they cost more per bag, dogs eat less, waste (poop) less, and you are not paying for fillers (poop) by the pound..

Note: Pedigree was the only brand available at grocery stores that did not contain pentobarbitol, used to euthanize livestock. .All other brands contained the remains of euthanized animals (USDA study) The USDA spokesperson said that in most, the amounts were not high enough to cause harm..I am wondering if he would feel the same if it was found in his children's food?..study..scroll down for brands and amounts> http://www.critterchat.net/pentobarbital.htm

There are varying opinions about the "best dog food" out there.......
In reading the labels you want to choose a brand that it's first ingredient is meat (Duck, Lamb, Chicken, Beef). Corn as a first ingredient is not optimal since canines are carnivores by nature.
There are some I could suggest but it's entirely up to you if you want to look into them.....
Wellness, Canidae, Innova, Natural balance, Natures Variety, and EaglePack are some of the ones I personally feel are good quality foods.
I use a combo of Eagle Pack kibble and Some of Natures Variety Raw Meats.....

I hope this helps you in your quest for finding a "Good Quality Food."

I am very familiar with all types since my two dogs have allergies. Here is the list: Life Abundance (the best) online,
Natural Balance, Wellness, and Solid Gold. Least best: Purina, Beneful, Pedigree, most at Walmart or grocery stores.

I do not know a lot about your brand but I feed Exceed from Sam's club I train field trial black labs and have had great results with this cost effective food, and the dog's love it. I have been Also breeding five 5+ years and have produced some great litters.

I've always fed my dogs Purina products, and every vet I go to say that's fine. I think Pedigree is a good brand too. I don't think you have to spend a lot of money on dog food, as long as your dogs coat is shiny then they are getting the nutrients they need. Just don't ever feed them Ol' Roy!! (Walmarts brand of dog food)

I use pedigree and have for years and my dogs are healthy. Some breeders use expensive stuff and say if it doesn't cost at least a dollar a pound it isn't any good but others say as long as it is good quility it doesn't matter.

If your dog is healthy with no problems then just feed him the food he likes already. Changing his food may cause more problems than it is worth.
