Well, you are close (can we get a consolation prize over here). They were talking about Eostre/Ostara, the pagan celebration of the vernal equinox. That's why they made Easter some preposterous equation like the second Sunday after the full moon after the equinox. Later the name Easter evolved from Eostre. Almost ironic.

First of all, you've got the wrong "goddess"...it isn't "Astaroth" it is "Eostre".
Second, nobody says you have to celebrate Easter if you don't want to, it is a personal choice you make.
Thirdly, God knows what we are celebrating. It is up to Him to judge what is in a person's heart, not you or me.
Before you go telling everyone what God calls evil, you might want to think about what you are saying, since, when you claim t o speak for God Himself, God holds you to a very high level of accountability. Now, do you honestly believe God considers small children having easter egg hunts and eating chocolate bunnies "evil"?
If you don't like the term "Easter", that's fine...we call it "Resurrection Day" at my house....and we make it a point to talk about the wonder of a Risen Savior.
"Evil" is as "evil" does, I think.....

You're playing games with semantics. Christians don't worship Baal and Ashtaroth at Easter. God is concerned with hearts. He knows the difference.

Ok, we've got a smart one on our hands. Easter celebrates Jesus' death and resurrection, which happened WAY AFTER Judges was written.
Baal and Ashtaroth were gods, NOT holidays.

HI
Easter is a pagan holiday that was used to worship fertility hence the rabbits you know breeding and having babies and eggs which are also a sign of fertility, it was accepted into the early religion and then designated as Christ Resurrection which its foundations started in false religion so should not be accepted as a Christian holiday.

Astaroth.. (you spelled it wrong)
It's not Easter, is the Vernal Equinox. Learn origins of holidays, and you'll learn.

An interesting observation.
I don't practice those things on easter.
I remember the Lord as risen.
Key word remember.
That is all that is required.

Just because my son's name means little king.
Doesn't mean he's literally a little king!
