Since religion speaks to matters of ultimate reality and all things relate to that reality, shouldn't all of the categories on Yahoo! questions be subcategories of the all-inclusive Relgion and Spirituality category?

surely not. This section is suited as that is, arguments and all. we are all adults (for the main area) and could be waiting to handle any adjustments of opinion in a civilized way. How else can we ever learn from one yet another? Our variety is what make us unique. If we've been segregated then we'd all be lumped which incorporate like-minded persons. it would get boring incredibly rapidly.

Because that's how the Yahoo gods decreed the categories should be broken down. Get yourself hired by them and convince them that they are wrong. Or start your own version of Answers and set it up the way you like.

Religion is not always spirituality, as spirituality is not always referring to religion. For example, I may be asking a question like, “how can I improve my spirituality” and I might not even believe in God, or a religious sort of god, but more like a “Higher Power.” I guess that’s what it means, religion is more specific. Spirituality is more personal. I hope this answers your question :D

i always thought that the mythology and folklore section, and the horoscopes section should all be rolled in along with the religion and spirituality section, so i sorta agree with you.
