There are a couple of alternatives you could try. Hire a mason and have him parge the outside of the foundation. This is a form of plaster and was standard on house foundations for many years. If done properly it leaves you with a pale gray slightly rough coat which appears even and tidy. Alternatively you could buy an exterior stone or brick veneer product which is adhered to the foundation with special adhesive and then grouted in, somewhat like tile. This will give your foundation a brick or stone appearance depending on which you choose and there are many styles and colors to choose from. You could easily attempt either of these procedures yourself if you are at all handy. I must warn you to NOT use paint on your blocks...they will have to be done repeatedly because of flaking and fading. The other two alternatives have to only be done once and will last a lifetime.
Good luck with your project!

I went to the Sherwin williams paint and had them mix me some paint to match my siding. I cleaned the bock with warm soapy water and a stiff bristle brush then rinsed it off, and painted it a couple of days later. It still looks great after 4 years, in Minnesota.

you could add a brick veneer or cover the block with cultured stone, or just parge the surface with mortar to create a stucco appearance.

Why not plant box hedges to hide the cinder blocks? They are so pretty, and actually add value to your property! (any landscaping will add to it!)

Best wishes!

You can paint it or stucco over it with a colored stucco. You can put lattice over it and plant climbing flowering vines.
