Saute some onions in butter until ligh brown and then add a teaspoon of wasabi, then fold them into a batch of hot mashed potatos, you can add it in paste form to a white wine sauce for service over poached or baked salmon.

Other then sushi, there is not alot of uses, in a marinate for meat, or add it to soya sauce to dip sushi or gyoza, a chinese type dumpling.

I was a chef for many years, and liked to make diferent things, it is like any other spice, you can varie the things and trying in diferent things, I like to add it to prepared mayonaisse for a nice kick to a cold roast beef sandwich or even black forest ham.

You can add it to anything you want to make hot. It goes very well in mashed potatoes.
