As the Chaperon, I believe this thing is a square dance. As long as the gay fellas where a shirt (top button not required to be fastened) under their vest, and NO cut off jeans, and NO kissing - I can accept it. The gay gals need to wear a skirt (no jeans), NO muscle shirts, and only three pieces of turquoise jewelery - I can live with it. NO kissing!

Oh good! Then my choice of outfit will blend in nicely; I prefer to watch rather than be watched at such events. I'm always afraid I'll be the weirdest one there (as my Subgenius Wedding question seems to have pointed out...). I prefer to go to events where I'm sure at least one person will be weirder than I am...

Huh. That social change statement sounds great and all... but what's wrong with gay people?

I don't think any of us came up with the prom idea, so I don't think it's our place to say they can't come. That won't keep me away.

So? My highschool prom was gay-friendly (my best friend brought her girlfriend). Big deal.
