Absolutely! Just because we may not be seeing you on American Idol doesn't mean that you shouldn't put your time into getting better at something you love! I have my degree in voice, have given voice lessons, as well as taken my fair share of them, and can say fairly confidently that most teachers would rather have a student who loved what they were doing, tried to improve to the best of their ability, and put the time into practicing and learning music, then a student with a beautiful voice that didn't wasn't dedicated. Go for it, and good luck!

how do you know that you do not have a beautiful voice? It may lie simply in the fact that you have not trained it. Before you took your other music lessons, were you a gifted instrumentalist? Don't be so hard on yourself, and investigate some lessons. Speak honestly about this topic with your teacher, who must be honest with you ( otherwise they are not a good teacher).
If the desire to sing is there, please follow it.
Best wishes and keep on singing

Yes, I believe that is the whole purpose for singing lessons, to better your voice and improve your self confidence.

Of course it's OK! If you could sing well, you wouldn't even consider voice lessons, would you? :o)
Fortunately, singing is a skill that can be improved with practice. Best of luck to you!

Sure. If you really love singing and it makes you happy, go for it. The lessons can't hurt.

I don't know why you'd waste your (or your parents) money.
Learning to sing isn't like learning to play an instrument, since as you said, you can't upgrade to a better voice. Stick with your other instruments, and join a Choir if you want to sing.
