i am a dancer, and yesterday i had an extreme non-stop ballet rehearsal (5 hours long). i went to the gym today and could barely get in 15 minutes of cardio without feeling like collapsing. i eat very healthily and i get lots of sleep at night. is this mind over matter, or is my body incapable of exercise for today?

Wow...I don't think I could do anything for 5 hours straight...you really need to rest...mind over matter works on somethings, but when you need rest, your body will let you know...drink lots of water and be ready for the next day!

Take a rest. Also, add a little extra vitamin C to your diet. Your body may need a little extra C to help absorb other vitamins and minerals better. And don't forget to drink lots of water when exerting yourself. I sometimes forget that little bit. Good luck, and I hope you feel better.

Sounds like you need a rest! Totally normal - listen to your body.

There's such a thing as overtraining. Your body gains strength during your recovery time, not when you are working it. Take a rest and you'll be fine.

Give your body a rest. It deserves it. The better you treat your body, the better your body will treat you.
