Along with Bryce, Zion, and the red rock country, try Big and Little Cottonwood Canyons near Salt Lake City. The countryside surrounding Park City is beautiful as well. In fact, Utah is beautiful all over!

I don't know anyhting about photography, but i do know a few places in Utah. the entire Red Rock country is amazing. the National parks like Zion, Arches and Bryce Canyon are prime; the San Rafael swell; Goblin Valley... to name a few. In the northern parts of the state, there's lots of mountain wilderness areas; the High Uintahs are good; there's Skyline Drive, a 4x4 road that runs a few hundred miles along the backs of the Wasatch Mts. It's a beautiful state, I tell you what. As far as advice, all i can say is bring lots of water and a hat. :)
