It sounds like you might have psoriasis. Definitely go see your doctor or dermatologist. They will be able to tell you what the problem is for sure, and recommend treatment options. Once you get it under control, your hair loss will probably stop.

Don't scratch your head. Do you use a lot of hair spray? Try to cut down on using it if you do. I would suggest you use some kind of natural shampoo and conditioner for a couple of months since it's so irritated. I like Burt's Bees Grapefruit and Sugar Beet Shampoo and Conditioner. I recommend that one b/c you mentioned you have oily hair and it deep cleans so your hair will be really shiny. As for your hair falling out, (don't scratch it) take biotin. It's a hair growth vitamin (part of the b-vitamin group). You can get it at pretty much any drug store. Remember to drink plenty of water b/c your body and skin need to stay hydrated! : )

you should definitely see a doctor. you might have a severe form of psoriasis on your scalp, but i don't know what could be causing your hair to fall out. are you stressed about something/ have you had any drastic changes in your diet? if you go to see a doctor, remember to tell him/her all of hte chances you have recently went through, which might be caising your problem.

Did you recently switch shampoos? Even if you didn't, your body chemistry is constantly changing. The effects of the elements, diet, etc. all can cause reactions. You would do well with a self-adjusting and GENTLE shampoo.
