I agree that, although most of the large dinosaurs went extinct between about 2400 BC and 500 AD, there are still a few species left alive in the world, based on eyewitness reports, photographs and film/video. And no, this would not prove evolution, but would disprove it. It would prove that dinosaurs did not die out 65 million years ago, and it would prove that they are virtually unchanged. There is not enough time in 6,000 years for any evolution to occur outside of the biblical "kind". All we ever see, and all science has ever proven is "variation within a kind", or, as the Bible puts it, "bringing forth after their kind".

Actually their descendants would be the birds which descended from the bird-hipped dinosaurs. Lizards and other reptiles tend to be on a separate evolutionary branch.

Unfortunately, there is no way to argue with someone who thinks that their god magicked the universe into existence in 4004 BCE. Of course there is also no way to argue with someone who really believes we are living in the Matrix. Or with someone who thinks the entire universe is a figment of their imagination. These three beliefs all have an equal amount of evidence behind them.

The "giantism" described in Gensis has been interpreted that way and is the basis for that theory. I honestly don't know about the whole lizards and dinasours thing, but micro-evolution was even shown in the Bible. Jacob was working for his uncle and breed the sheep to all be speckled and spotted so they would belong to him as he had agreed with Laban.

I don't think anyone will dipute micro-evolution. I dispute evolution as a theory for our existance and creation. The whole theory is so far fetched that it is considered scientifically impossible to believe that we all were created by chance. I think some people still hold on to evolution because they are scared to admit when they are wrong.

I find the theory of intellegent design much more realistic than assuming we are here by mere chance.

Certainly, it proves evolution, as dinosaurs may have evolved in birds, small lizards and even mammals and the like.

Besides, obviously beauty is not extinct. I noticed when I saw your avatar.

I agree that they did not go extinct because I have seen dinosaurs living out the woods here in Iowa.

In the infinite wisdom of God and as part of his "anticipation" of the progress of mankind over time, he knew that wee would be needing fossil fuels in the day and age. Perhaps the dinosaurs were a part of that "anticipation" and those life forms were created in order for us to benefit from with today's technology of energy extraction from the ground.

No, of course they didn't go extinct. They're hidden in the lost city of Atlantis, which houses the abominable snowman, Elvis, and Andy Kaufman.

Some of the dinosaurs became exitnct but some survived to evolve into modern day creatures.

well.... I wouldn't really want to bet my portfolio on it but anything is possible i guess. And you make it sound as though Christians are the only ones who think that Dino's are extinct. Betty ,.. do you REALLY think Christians are the only ones who think that. I mean do you really? You are considerably more intelligent that your posting indicates.

Have your friends read a few books on paleontology. There are rare ancient creatures in the ocean depths.
