Men have a hormonal advantage with testosterone. Women's bodies are designed to hang on to fat, this is for child bearing reasons.

it has all to do with the different amounts of testosterone that men and women produce. men produce on average 10x the amount of test as women. this has a direct effect on the amounts of circulating androgens in the body which effect the metabolism directly.
