Hia, I am asking if in your opinion if I could be a Comedian....I know you dont know me and know not of my material. I am Eighteen and am going through a difficult time of deciding if I can get into University, what I want to do (although the course decisions have been made) etc.......I have wrote a lot of jokes in the past few days and can easily write them after watching comedians....I have posted them on Yahoo Answers and many have said they are awful (I also mixed them with Jimmy Carrs and Gervais) so I believe that it is pretty much in the timing and telling.....At my school I have created my comedy as a defense mechanism and I believe I have a very high level of wit! So in essence what will it take to make transition from comedy at school/uni to pro?

Let me explain a few things. I'll talk slowly because you're young. You have no life experience. Unless you intend to do 30 minutes of one-liners on stage (which people will get bored of really fast), then I would wait it out until you decide to go "pro". Just go to college; there's so many interesting people you'll meet there, and so many more experiences to have. You won't know funny until you see the humor in everybody else. Trust me; even if you drop out of college to pursue your "career", you'll be breaking your mother's heart, but you'll be more successful. Good luck, and just say what you know.

stay in school, college is the best place for comedic material! Keep at the comedy, just because your in school doesn't mean you have to stop pursuing comedy you can do both. Most university's have plenty of opportunities to practice you art.

I've seen your jokes, but they don't quite appeal to the masses. Tone it down a little bit, your jokes are a bit crude, and offensive to some people.Other then that, you are a hilarious comedian!
