Nikon D80 for under $900?

Question

I've been searching the internet for the past few days and I found one on Century20Electronics.com that comes with 2 lenses and a memory card and some other feature for around $850. Do you think im walking into a trap or what?

Listen to Dr. Sam.

the common scam is that when you place the order on line, you'll then get a call. they try and sell you on a bunch of overpriced accessories. If you are unwilling to purchase the overpriced junk, then magically- the camera is back ordered, out of stock. Or- might come without any manuals, battery, CD, cables and such that normally come with the camera.

The good news is that there are some great on-line retailers that offer excellent service and fiercely competitive prices. BHPhotovideo as Dr. Sam suggested is on. I've also had very good luck with NewEgg.com and buydig.com. but there are others as well.

Sounds wrong, sorry. Reputable vendors are pricing at about $950 for the body only.

I've heard of horror stories of sites like this. The lenses are probably junk. You probably get a used camera. And all the accessories and battery & charger will prob be missing. If you go ahead, ensure you will be getting a complete NEW package. These firms attempt to sell you an extended warr to get their profits up.

Be careful. But if you go ahead, and it works out, please let me know! I usually buy from a local store, Amazon, or BHVideo.com
