Yes, in fact some bread recipes call for selfrising flour instead of yeast.

If you look on the package of selfrising flour, I can almost guarantee that a bread and cake recipe will be labeled on it.

I got my recipe for buttermilk biscuits off of a package of selfrising flour. Everyone else is WRONG!!!

no. the result will be like a cake. for bread you really need to use strong flour for that chewy bready texture.

No.self-rising flour has baking soda in it not yeast.Yeast is what you need to make it rise.
