Christians are weak minded children who are afraid to think for themselves.

Not true, the bible could very well have some facts, just like some other religions out there. No one knows however, what is factual. Science has still not proven anything against the bible or creationism. In fact Science is trying to figure out if we could have just been created by one atom in the universe, or a part of DNA and it is not possible. They have proved parts of the bible to be contradictory and false. They have since proved evolution to be wrong (evolutiondeceit.com). But they have not proven God or a higher power to be wrong. I believe the bible was written by man according to events that could have happened back then although a lot I think are made up. Its like someone writing a story about events today, they could make up anything, but would people believe it?? I am sure some nieve people would. The point is, you do not have to believe in the bible to believe in God or a higher existence.

Science have discovered the origin of species or some fossils and have theorized that it may have some kind of explanation to give on how life began. Their findings have never been declared as definitive but just conclusive. They also have no clear evidence of either existence or non-existence of God.
On both aspect of beliefs, none is definitely proven true yet. So, I would suggest that you leave those who believe there is God and let non-believers live their life too. Scientists have been helped a lot by religious claims on the other hand, Religions declare a miracle, scientists act to find the truth in it.
Do you not think they are helping each other? Be thankful in that situation.

You've forgotten the many other options available. You've given us an A or B proposition, but there's almost always an Option C. Many people accept the Bible, and have no problem with science, either. Remember that hardcore Biblical literalists are actually in the minority among religious practitioners. The Bible provides guides for living not addressed by science, and science provides answers not found in the Bible (for instance, one does not open the Bible expecting to obtain a chemical formula for creating plastic).

You need not chose one over the other. They can both be true.
As a Christian I find it hard to limit God to working just within what the Bible says. Especially when it was written thousands of years ago, to a people who could not possibly accept the fantastic power of the human mind, power given by God in the first place.
Who is to say that what we see in and from science today is not evidence of how God created, when he created, yesterday and today?
We assume that "Creation" is over. It may not be. God certainly is still working to make humans, animals and this planet different every day.
Why must "creation" and "science" be exclusive of each other? It is not required in the Bible, the book Christians hold as their guide.
How can I, a human, confine God and his power, to just working within the confines of the Bible? Why cannot he work within science too?
If you created something that could think on it's own, why would you not be happy when it actually started to do good with that ability? Science is God's creation doing good (in most cases) with our ability to think, dream, produce, explore, manufacture, heal. Unfortunately we are human and we do tend to do bad things with that ability too. God knew that going in.

I believe that science is based on physical evidence and facts. I also believe God is the energy that triggers the scientific evidence, etc. You can believe in both, God and science. I agree some of what the bible says can be explained today that would've been considered a miracle back then. God is the reason all of our molecules don't dissipate into space.

Nice Avatar.
I think science is evidence for God. Science shows just how truly complex the world is and how there is a delicate balance in nature. Everything is a miracle that could not have just happened by accident, they are the methods of God. Science shows how God put it all together, but it in no way denies his existence, why don't science people get that?

I'm an atheist and as much as I would like to think that science has disproven god - it hasn't. Science deals with the natural world. It has found lots and lots of natural explanations for the natural world. However, it has not yet ventured into the supernatural world. At best you could say that there is "no scientific proof in favor of god". But that's a long way from saying that "science disproves god".
Said differently - what would be the experiment that would disprove the existence of god? I can't even think of one.

Is there some news today in the headlines that science has proven the non-existence of God? If not, then I think your facts are all messed up. And your logic that you have to totally accept one and deny the other...well, something's wrong here with this logic. Some of the greatest scientists admit that their research has led them to believe in the existence of a supreme intelligence behind all things.

I like what my old physics teacher used to say.
Science is how and religion is why.
The bible says nothing about how things work just why and how we should act. Science just is how you see a pattern and make assumptions off it to predict future outcomes.
Science cannot prove an all powerful and know being does not exist because no matter what they find and how it works you can just say that is how god made it.
